Program and Proceedings (Friday, May 26th, 2023)

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese, the Department of Linguistics, and the School of Education are thrilled to present the 9th Annual UC Davis Symposium on Language Research! Our theme is “The Intersection Between Language and Technology”.

Our program includes a keynote presentation by Dr. Nicole Holliday as well as 37 talks by students from across the United States and the world. The talks feature a wide range of topics, some related to technology and others appealing to a more general audience. Our goal is to facilitate discussion on language research among individuals with diverse backgrounds and interests, and we hope you will join us!

This conference would not be possible without the support of the planning committee and our sponsors. We are also indebted to our financial coordinator, Mary Carrillo, and our faculty advisor, Dr. Claudia Sánchez-Gutiérrez

We are looking forward to a fantastic conference and cannot wait to meet all of you!
